Irish Talent Takes Lead In 2025 BAFTA TV Nominations

The 2025 BAFTA Television Awards return this May, celebrating the best on TV and streamers from the last year!

Irish stars Lola Petticrew (Say Nothing) and Nicola Coughlan (Big Mood) have received their first BAFTA TV nominations.

Graham Norton has also seen his 18th BAFTA nomination for Best Entertainment Performance for The Graham Norton Show whilst Belfast-set drama Blue Lights has been tipped in the Best Drama Series category.

Finally, Disney+ drama Rivals , starring Irish actors Aidan Turner and Victoria Smurfit, and has six nominations and a Memorable Moment nod.

The Big Hitters

Netflix's Baby Reindeer leads with the  eight nominations, including Best Actor for Richard Gadd.

ITV drama Mr Bates vs The Post Office, has six nominations and is also nominated in the Memorable Moment category.

Finally, Apple TV+ series Slow Horses, starring Oscar winner Gary Oldman, also claimed six nods, alongside Disney+ drama Rivals.

 

The BAFTA Television Awards will be hosted by Alan Cumming, taking place on 11 May and broadcast on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
