It has now come to light that House of Cards are scrapping two episodes of season 6 that were previously filmed.
According to Vulture, two weeks of filming on the new series took place last October, and all of the footage that was obtained during that time will now be tossed.
Executives had thought about cancelling the show altogether when the allegations against Kevin Spacey emerged. Claims were made against Spacey from Star Trek's Anthony Rapp and present and past members of House of Cards itself.
Spacey won't be returning to the show, and it will carry on for one final season with filming beginning after Christmas.
A spokesperson for Spacey has said that he is currently seeking 'evaluation and treatment' away from the spotlight.
