Harry Potter fans stay calm!
HBO has officially confirmed the cast for the new Harry Potter TV series.
Taking to Instagram to share the exciting news they wrote: "Wands at the ready, we welcome our staff to Hogwarts."
"Please welcome John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid, Luke Thallon as Quirinus Quirrell, and Paul Whitehouse as Argus Filch to the HBO Original Series Harry Potter."

As of right now, Paul Whitehouse is the only cast member who has starred in any of the original films, playing Sir Cadogan, in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
The roles of Harry, Ron and Hermine have yet to be revealed, but thirty-thousand people applied to play the iconic characters.
The highly anticipated show, based on J.K. Rowling’s books, is set to begin filming this summer, with the first series airing next year.
