Praise be.
Hulu has announced that The Handmaid's Tale has been renewed for a fourth season.
The streaming service made the announcement during the Television Critics Association press tour.
Based on Margaret Atwood’s iconic novel, The Handmaid’s Tale follows the story of life in the dystopia of Gilead, a totalitarian society in what was formerly part of the United States.
The third season of The Handmaid's Tale aired in June, and it has been incredible.
What is the plot of Season 3?
Well the official synopsis states that
"having made the dangerous decision to remain in the oppressive regime of Gilead and find her missing daughter, June now embarks on a bold mission which proves to have unexpected consequences. Emily and Nichole make a harrowing journey as they flee towards the safety of Canada."
The third season has been met with some criticisms, though.
It has taken a dip from the 94% Rotten Tomatoes score of the first season, and the 89% of Season 2, with Season 3 currently sitting with 80%, and an overall consensus of;
"The Handmaid's Tale's third season reigns in its horrors and inspires hope that revolution really is possible -- if only the story would stop spinning its wheels and get to it already."
Here's the trailer for season three;
A release date for season four has yet to be confirmed.
