What?
The series follows a bunch of singletons in rural Ireland looking for love.
It's been a struggle for each of them because of their locations and their ties to where they live.
The series is based on the show Farmer Wants a Wife.

Meet the singletons
Each singleton has put together a two minute video profile so that viewers can get to know them before the series kicks off. Check them out here.
They're inviting anyone interested in their profile to write them a letter, which you can do here.
From there, they'll whittle it down and choose a handful of people to go on dates with.

Host?
The series will be hosted by former all-Ireland winning camogie captain Anna Geary.
She told the broadcaster, 'I’m on a mission to find seven rural romantics that 'special someone' they’ve been searching for.'
'I’m a farmer’s daughter and grew up in rural Ireland. It’s a great wholesome lifestyle, but it’s becoming increasingly difficult to meet someone.'

'We live in a time where 'swiping right' is the norm, however so many don’t like that approach.'
'Love in the Country, like the name suggests, can help people to find love.'
'I’m excited to get started on Love in the Country. I’ll be a confidante, sounding board and wing-woman of sorts for the love hopefuls, with some laughs along the way too.'
