The Hunger Games prequel
Suzanne Collins' prequel to The Hunger Games drops next week and we can hardly contain our excitement.
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes will follow the origin story of Coriolanus Snow.
Here's everything we know about the book so far:
What's it all about?
The prequel book is set 64 years before the original books, during the 10th annual Hunger Games.
It follows Snow from the age of 18, 'preparing for his one shot at glory as a mentor in the Games.'
He's hoping to, 'out charm, outwit, and outmaneuver his fellow students to mentor the winning tribute.'

The book's blurb reveals Snow is left humiliated as he's assigned the task of mentoring the female District 12 tribute, 'the lowest of the low.'
'Their fates are now completely intertwined - every choice Coriolanus makes could lead to favor or failure, triumph or ruin.'
If you're a fan of The Hunger Games trilogy then you'll remember Katniss Everdeen came from that same district.
Perhaps Snow's student is in someway connected to the trilogy's protagonist.

Will there be a movie?
Yes, there will absolutely be a movie.
Lionsgate Motion Picture Group chairman Joe Drake confirmed the news with Deadline last month.
He said, 'We’re thrilled to reunite this filmmaking team with this very unique franchise, and we can’t wait to begin production.'
While Collins added that she's, 'delighted to be returning to [Lionsgate] with this new book.'
'I look forward to collaborating with them and all at Lionsgate as we bring The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes to theaters worldwide.'
When is it out?
The prequel book drops worldwide this May 19th.
However, a release date for the movie has yet to be announced.
Just seven days to go!
