Disney's live-action remake of The Lion King has been a work in progress over the last number of months and it seems that it's seriously coming together, much to the delight of Disney fanatics worldwide.
According to reports this morning, a comedic legend has been cast in Jon Favreau's adaptation. John Oliver has been cast as Zazu – the little grumpy bird/royal advisor to Mufasa and Simba.
The Wrap claim that he will play the red-billed hornbill and has previous experience working on shows like Bob's Burgers, Rick and Morty and The Simpsons - making him no stranger to the animated world.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the casting team behind the remake are looking to get Seth Rogen as the warthog Pumbaa and Parks and Recreation's Billy Eichner as the meerkat Timon.
Many will say 'Don't fix it if it ain't broke' but we really have a good feeling about this remake.
