Disney's High School Musical
Disney have just released the first look images for High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.
It's the start of something new!
It's been over a decade since Gabriella Montez and Troy Bolton were forced to perform at a New Years Eve karaoke party.
The images for the new series take us back to Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens' first onscreen romance.
The series
The new series isn't a direct representation of the original movies.
Instead, it follows a group of teens who are putting on a production of High School Musical.
The story follows Ricky who auditions for the musical in an attempt to win back his former flame.
However, her new boyfriend is also auditioning for the role of Troy Bolton in the play.

The original movies
The original movies follow the story of high school students Troy Bolton (Zac Efron) and Gabriella Montez (Vanessa Hudgens).
When they're forced to sing together on New Years Eve, there's an undeniable spark between them.
Faith has its way with the two when Gabriella is transferred to East High for the semester.
Troy just happens to be the most popular boy at the school.
The new series airs on the 12th of November on Disney+.
