While promoting his latest film Jumanji: The Next Level Danny DeVito revealed that he wants to make a Matilda Sequel.
The iconic children's movie was first released in 1996.
The 75-year-old said;
"I always wanted to do Matilda 2, but when the kid was still a kid, But that was like 20 years ago, 25 years ago. Maybe Matilda has a kid and we can do something that, I don't know."
It seems unlikely that we will see a Matilda sequel any time soon though.
Mara Wilson, who starred as Matilda who has a passion for reading books, hasn’t appeared in a feature-length film since 2000’s Thomas and the Magic Railroad, according to IMDb.

Already laughing at the @knivesout premiere. Can’t wait to watch it! #knivesout
But with the film's 25th anniversary taking place in 2021, Fingers crossed the other cast members jump on the bandwagon with DeVito.
