Golden Globes 2023

The 2023 Golden Globe nominees have been announced and there are a bunch of newbies in there, which we love to see.

Let's have a look at some of the first-time Globe nominees.

Selena Gomez

Selena's been nominated for the first time in the Best Performance by an Actress TV category for her role as Mabel in Only Murders in the Building.

Her competition is Abbott Elementary's Quinta Brunson, The Flight Attendant's Kaley Cuoco, Wednesday's Jenna Ortega and Hacks' Jean Smart.

It's for her phenomenal portrayal of Wednesday in Netflix's new Addams Family spinoff series.

Austin Butler

It would have been absolutely ridiculous if Austin Butler didn't receive a nomination for his portrayal of Elvis in Baz Lurhmann's biopic.

He was nominated in the Best Actor category alongside Brendan Fraser for The Whale and Jeremy Pope for The Inspection, both of which are also first-time Golden Globe nominees.

Others nominated are Hugh Jackman for The Son and Bill Nighy for Living.
