The song follows the story of a girl who rejects the boy she fancies because he's a skateboarding, 'punk.'
Her friends were against the idea of them getting together, and, 'stuck up their nose,' to him.
Years later, the girl regrets her decision to steer clear of him when he becomes a successful musician playing on MTV.
