A huge moment for the Irish!
It's now less than two months away until the 76th Emmy Awards commence on Sunday, Sept. 15 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. And on Wednesday, July 16, Tony Hale and Sheryl Lee Ralph teamed up to announce the nominees live from the El Capitan Theatre.
Dublin actor, Andrew Scott lead Irish nominations this years receiving bids for Best Actor and Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series category for his work on the Netflix series Ripley, which he both starred and produced.
Standout nominations came from The Bear and Shōgun which both dominated across the board.
The Bear set a new record for nominations in a single year in the comedy category with a whopping 23 nods, a record previously held by 30 Rock with 22 nominations in 2009.
Meanwhile, Shōgun led this year’s Drama category with an impressive 25 nominations.
