The GRAMMYs took place in New York City on Sunday night with arguably the major talking point being the lack of awards picked up by women on the live broadcast with just one of the eleven going to Alessia Cara for ‘Best New Artist’.
GRAMMYs head Neil Portnow hit back saying women need to ‘Step Up’ to be in better contention of the big awards.
This response obviously did not go down too well with Pink leading the charge against Portnow’s response.
The’ What About Us’ singer took to Instragram to respond with a written letter, stating that women have been ‘Stepping up since the beginning of time’ and saying they’ve been ‘Killing it’
