Netflix are to tighten up on password sharing!
The amount of people sharing Netflix accounts and passwords is increasing. At the moment one account can power fours screams meaning four different people can be streaming at any one time. But, it looks like Netflix are about to get more strict on this.
Netflix's Chief Product Officer Greg Peters confirmed the streaming service is "continuing to monitor" the situation in an interview saying:
"We continue to monitor it so we're looking at the situation. We'll see those consumer-friendly ways to push on the edges of that."
"We have no plans to announce at this point in time, in terms of doing something differently."
However, Peters emphasised that Netflix would not implement measures resulting in alienating its users base.
It's not clear when or how Netflix will crack down on password sharing, but the streaming giant is definitely intent on making changes somehow.
