Cold and flu season is in full swing.
Christmas is officially over and its back to the grind. Everyone is dying with a cold or flu so here is how to avoid it like the plague.
Sip warm liquids
Such as Tea, chicken soup or Lemsip as this can increase mucus flow.
Spoonful of honey
Honey has been said to soothe a cough and coat your throat. Stir it into a cup of decaf tea or lemon water. One warning: Don’t give honey to babies younger than 1-year-old.
Take a hot shower
Breathing in steam may moisten a scratchy throat and nose, as well as loosen your congestion. The heat can also help relax any aching muscles.
Sleep it off
Sleep is essential for your body to rest and heal. Even though it won’t help you get rid of a cold or flu, sleep allows your immune system to fight off infections.
Add moisture to the air
A cool-mist vaporizer or humidifier can add moisture to your home, which might help loosen congestion
Best of luck getting rid of that flu!
