"Today is World Cancer Day and this time last year I didn't know I had it"
This statement from Alannah Sheehan in her most recent Instagram post would stop anyone in their tracks.
The wife and mother of three has a rare form of cancer called Glioblastoma Multiform (GBM) which is a grade 4 brain tumour. There is a 50% chance of living longer than 2 years for people who get diagnosed with GBM. It's incurable and one of the most aggressive types of cancer.
Alannah is using her Instagram as a photo diary for her children when they grow up so they can always look back at memories she has shared.
There are some light-hearted posts that Alannah shares on her page and her positivity is infectious.
Alannah was a former chef so she shares very healthy recipes of dishes and juicing on her IG stories.
