Mother's Day 2020
Considering the ongoing pandemic, it's going to prove difficult for many to celebrate this Mother's Day with their parents.
So we've put together five handy tips and tricks to put a smile on your mammy's face this Sunday.
1. The Love Actually
Remember that scene in Love Actually where Andrew Lincoln's character confesses his love for his best friend's wife?
Of course you do, it's iconic.
Why not surprise your mother at her home with some placards of your own?
However, social distancing is extremely important so send her a text advising her to look out her window.
You could tell her what she means to you and then leave a personalised gift at the door.
2. The phone call
The greatest gift your mother could receive at this time is a phone call.
Take an hour or two out of your day and spend some time talking to her.
3. Face Time
If your mother is tech savvy enough, you could always Face Time her.
You could both decide on a movie to watch and sit together on Face Time as you watch it.
4. The video collage
This is such a sweet idea - get each member of your family to record a Mother's Day message.
Take all the videos and create a video collage to send to your mother.
This will definitely brighten up her day.
5. The scrap book
Or if you're not into the video collage idea, you could do it the old fashioned way - make a scrap book.
Find pictures and memorabilia to stick inside with little messages written throughout it.
