Riverfest Limerick 2024 is delighted to announce the inclusion in this year’s festival of the Pegasé show. On Friday evening a giant winged pegasus will leap straight out of Greek Mythology to strut its stuff along the banks of the River Shannon and through the city in a carnival-style parade that is not to be missed. The spectacle is sure to invoke memories of the visit of the Giant Granny to Limerick ten years ago.
Riverfest Street Parties at Howley’s Quay will add a new outdoor party area for 2024 while the Riverfestival Village and Panoramic Wheel are among the many returning attractions. Savour the tastes at the National All Ireland BBQ Competition, catch bingo fever with Fidget Feet and turn on the style at FashionFest. There will be thrills and spills on the River Shannon with kayaking, dragon boats, angling, rowing, boat tours, and swimming all making a splash across the weekend.
Thousands of people are expected to descend on the city to enjoy Limerick’s biggest weekend of the year and soak up the different kind of energy that makes Limerick unique.
