Our very own Alisha Weir is rumoured to play Dorothy in Wicked: Part Two.
Chatter started after the Irish actress attended the London Premiere of Wicked: Part One.
Alisha is not shy to musicals after starring in Netflix's adaptation of Matilda - Plus she has a great relationship with Universal after starring in Abigail.
SPOILER ALERT AHEAD!
Dorothy is seen in the opening moments of Wicked: Part One and director Jon M. Chu said Dorothy does make an appearance in the second film.
Speaking to Variety Jon said: "In the show, Dorothy is around. They have to intersect, and you can only tease it so much. I won’t say whether she’s a character, necessarily, in movie two."
He added: "There’s a part of me that wants everyone’s Dorothy to be the whatever Dorothy they want. And yet, there is interaction and some crossover. So I’ll leave that up to Part Two.
There’s no word yet on who will play Dorothy, fans will have to wait until November 2025 to find out.
