The Weeknd uses his platform to support #BlackLivesMatter
Canadian artist The Weeknd has been using his online platform to support the Black Lives Matter movement.
He's encouraging his followers to donate as much as they can and to push for change.
The singer has already donated $500,000 to causes.

The Weeknd shared screenshots of his donations on Instagram, alongside the name of each organisation.
He captioned his post, 'keep supporting our brothers and sisters out there risking everything to push for actual change for our black lives.'
'Urging everyone with big pockets to give and give big and if you have less please give what you can even if it's a small amount.'

The artist later called out the likes of Spotify, Warner Music, Sony Music and more, asking them to donate to causes.
He wrote, 'To my fellow respected industry partners and execs- no one profits off of black music more than the labels and streaming services.'

The 30-year-old continued, 'I gave yesterday and I urge you to go big and public with yours this week.'

Harry Styles announced over the weekend that he's donating, 'to help post bail for arrested organizers.'

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds donated $200,000 to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.
She shared the news in a lengthy statement on Instagram saying they want, 'to use [their] privilege and platform to be an ally.'
Halsey has also made a number of donations to a variety of different causes.
The artist listed the names of each cause and her contribution on Twitter.
She's encouraging her followers to join her in making a donation.
