The Tinder Swindler banned
Simon Leviev, whose real name is Shimon Hayut, has been banned from Tinder following the release of Netflix's The Tinder Swindler.
The documentary film follows numerous women who were conned out of millions by a man posing as a wealthy, jet-setting diamond mogul.
The man at the centre of the documentary is Hayut.
In a statement to Variety, Tinder said: 'We have conducted internal investigations and can confirm Simon Leviev is no longer active on Tinder under any of his known aliases.'
The documentary dropped on Netflix last week, and Hayut was still active on Instagram at the time.
According to Variety, with more than 200,000 followers, he shared a post saying he was preparing to tell his version of the story.
His account is now no longer visible on the app.
The Tinder Swindler is streaming on Netflix now.
