Simone Biles has been named Sports Illustrated’s Sportsperson of the year!
Describing her as:
“The most decorated gymnast of all time is more than her staggering medal count. She has altered the face of gymnastics, sparked sweeping change across sports—and this year capped it all with an astonishing personal comeback.”
It should come as no surprise to anyone who tuned into the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Simone took a two-year break from the sport to focus on her mental health before taking part in the games, where she won a total of four medals - three gold and one silver.
She’s been an inspiration to women and girls across the world, not only because of her success but because she always puts herself first.
