Selena Gomez opens up about online trolling
Pop star Selena Gomez talks about the affect online body-shamers have on her mental health.
The singer admits she deals with a lot of health issues and her weight fluctuates because of that.
Selena says negative comments about her appearance online, "really messed me up for a bit."
The artist opens up in a new interview on Raquelle Stevens' video podcast Giving Back Generation.
"I have lupus and deal with kidney issues and high blood pressure, so I deal with a lot of health issues..."
"And for me that's when I really started noticing more of the body image stuff."
She says because of the medication and other health factors, her weight fluctuates.
"It's the medication I have to take for the rest of my life."
"It depends on even the month, to be honest."

Health issues
Selena revealed her lupus diagnosis in 2015.
In 2017, her friend Francia Raisa donated her kidney to Selena after she faced complications from lupus.
