Ryan Murphy responds to backlash
Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy has responded, after the late Naya Rivera's father slammed him on Twitter.
George Rivera claimed the show's creators never lived up to their promise of providing a college fund for Naya's son Josey.
They said they would in a statement following her tragic death last summer.

It all kicked off when George replied to a fan tweet, commending the show creators for their support of Naya and her family.
He replied, 'Everyone needs to know what Ryan Murphy really did ... or didn’t do !!!'
'I’m about to blow up this story .... and make sure he’s knows that I know ....'

Another Twitter user, clearly engulfed in the drama, said George is about to drag Ryan's, 'a** as he should.'
George replied, 'When you are part of the Hollywood elite, some people treat others as they are “less than” ....'
'vocalize a good game , but it’s as shallow as the sets on stage , that they create.'

He continued, 'Promises made in public, only to fade with time and excuses .... even in a unexplainable tragedy ...'
Another fan asked, 'did they never open the trust fund for josey ? omg.'

Ryan responds
It wasn't long before Ryan jumped on Twitter to defend himself, and his Glee co-creators Brad Falchuk, and Ian Brennan.
He wrote they have committed to creating the college fund through Naya Rivera Estate Trust.

Ryan concluded, 'We have been in repeated conversations with the appropriate executors of her estate.'

Naya Rivera
Naya, best known for her role as Santana Lopez in Glee, passed away last summer.
Her body was recovered from Lake Piru in California after an apparent drowning accident.

Naya had rented a pontoon boat for herself and her son.
Three hours later, her son was found unharmed, asleep in the boat by himself.
A search immediately began, and her body was later recovered from the lake.
