Priyanka Chopra denies breaking lockdown
Hollywood star Priyanka Chopra is currently living in London with her husband Nick Jonas.
She faced backlash this week, after she was spotted attending a hair appointment despite lockdown restrictions.
A statement has since been released explaining the situation on behalf of the actress.

In photos by MailOnline, Priyanka is shown arriving at the Josh Wood Colour salon in Notting Hill with her mother.
Two police officers arrived at the salon to ensure they weren't breaking guidelines.
After seeing the photos online, many social media users turned on Priyanka and accused her of flouting the rules.

One Twitter user asked, 'Why are the rules different for you, who do you think you are?'
While another said, 'Why should Priyanka Chopra be able to get her hair done.'

Priyanka's spokesperson releases statement
It wasn't long before a spokesperson for the actress released the following statement to MailOnline:
'Following government guidance, Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ hair was coloured by Josh Wood for the purpose of the film she is currently shooting.'

'The salon was opened privately for the production and everyone involved had been tested and followed both the DCMS working guidelines and the film production regulations.'
'As per Film London and current government advice, by continuing to follow the approved COVID-19 guidance, Film and TV production can continue in the Capital and locations can continue to accommodate shoots and recces that are carried out in-line with the guidance.'
