Paul Mescal felt, 'objectified,' after Normal People

Normal People's Paul Mescal has revealed he felt, 'objectified,' after the show came out.

However, he's adamant that he won't let it get in the way of his career as an actor.

The Connell Waldron star opened up to Elle Magazine in a recent interview.

As quoted by Metro, he told them, 'I felt objectified after Normal People.'

'It’s to be expected, given the intimacy of my scenes, but it doesn’t make it easier.'

Paul added that it was, 'a bit frightening,' how obsessed people were over his character's chain.

He said, 'The power of Connell’s chain was completely unexpected. And a bit frightening!'

'It became this totemic being that lived outside the show.'
