Households in the UK are not allowed to mix amid the pandemic.
The social media influencer's representative however, explained the situation to The Mirror.
It turns out Alex's step-father is a carpenter, and has been doing work on their home amid the pandemic.

'Alex and Olivia have had builders and labourers in their home for the last year, this is no exception.'
The carpenter has been working alone, doing some, 'joinery and wood work,' in their home.
Builders and labourers are permitted to work at other properties amid the pandemic, so this is not against the law.

Olivia takes to Instagram Stories
Olivia also took to Instagram Stories to hit back.
She insisted, "We've been following all the regulations and laws about having tradespeople in our house."
"Where I can, I like to designate work in our house to people I know, people I trust, including family members."

The reality star went on to reveal she had been contacted by a journalist for comment.
Olivia responded by insisting they hadn't broken the rules, calling it a, 'non-story.'
She asked them not to write a misleading headline, and was shocked to see they had.

She said, "To have someone put out to the whole country and beyond that I've broken the law when I have specifically explained the situation is just not fair."
"And what it could do to someone else, or to me if I was having a really bad day, is scary."
"It could have such a detrimental effect."
