Niall Horan sends the hardest email of his entire career

Niall Horan opens up about the impact the global pandemic has had on his life.

The Irish singer had to cancel his tour, meaning so many people have been put out of a job.

Niall says the hardest thing he's ever had to do is break the news to a crew of 100 people.

Niall spoke about life in self isolation during a chat with Apple Music’s Beats 1 with Zane Lowe.

He said, "I'm fine on my own, obviously calling people and just seeing how everyone is..."

"People that I haven’t spoken to in a while, checking in at home."

The 26-year-old revealed he has his, "89-year-old grandmother using Face Time," which Niall admitted is, "impressive."

"I have been keeping in touch with Louis [Tomlinson] a bit."

"I spoke to Shawn Mendes a couple of times, he is madly in love, that's for sure."

Tour cancellation

Niall went on to talk about the cancellation of his tour.

"The hardest part was sending an email to the crew of 100 people who work with me, my band, they didn’t expect to be out of a job."

He added, "They live tour by tour and travel around the world to support their families."

The artist admitted, "I’m ok, I can get in the studio, I am ok to just be sitting in writing music."

"It was the hardest email I have ever written in my career."

On the bright side, Niall added that he thinks, "there will be a lot of great songs on the back of this."

He explained that you have a lot more time with your thoughts in isolation.

"You have nothing else to do but, go to the store, go for a run for half an hour..."

"Apart from that you are there with your thoughts when you lay in bed, or are sitting on the sofa..."

Niall said, "There is a lot more deep thinking and a lot more to write about.”

He admitted he's, "never been so driven," before adding, "Look at people like Drake and Ed!"

"Ed still wants the biggest songs in the world and he doesn't mind telling you either."

Meanwhile, Liam Payne has been teasing a One Direction 10 year anniversary reunion.
