Niall Horan on Dustin The Turkey drama
Irish artist Niall Horan has finally commented on the Dustin The Turkey drama.
His fans outside of Ireland were fuming over Dustin's, 'disrespectful,' behaviour towards Niall on RTÉ's Comic Relief special.
Niall appeared for a performance during a revival of The Den on RTÉ's special episode.
Both Dustin and Ray D'Arcy interrupted the former One Direction member while he was performing.
The puppet joked, "We wanted Harry Styles!"
That was so disrespectful n he doesn't deserve that

Unfortunately, Niall's fans outside of Ireland didn't realise the interruption was part of a planned sketch.
Angry Twitter threads formed online, and the words, 'RESPECT NIALL HORAN,' started trending.
So Dustin tweeted, Lads...... I’m a lover* not a fighter....'

Niall responds
Niall finally addressed the controversy during a chat on Sirius XM last week.
He laughed when asked about it, "Oh yeah this has kicked off big time."
"So there’s a few characters that did an afternoon TV show in Ireland for years, like puppets, and one of them is known to be quite brash but in the most Irish way possible."
"So my fans have completely retaliated against the Turkey and it’s kicked off…"
"And he’s like our national mascot so I’m kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place where I don’t know whether to tell the fans that like it’s a puppet, and to also realise that our national treasure is Dustin The Turkey.”
Niall confirmed he was, "in on the joke."
