Monique Coleman & Corbin Bleu's friendship
Monique Coleman has opened up about her miscarriage, and the ways in which her co-star Corbin Bleu supported her through it.
The High School Musical stars have reunited for their brand new festive flick A Christmas Dance Reunion.

The actress revealed in an interview with People Magazine that she suffered a miscarriage prior to filming.
And both Corbin and his wife Sasha Clements, who also stars in the movie, were there for her in a way she, 'can't describe.'
She said, 'I thought that I was going to be doing the movie pregnant.'

Monique continued, 'If I was pregnant, I was excited to be with Corbin and Sasha because I knew that they would be able to carry me and hold me through that experience.'
'And when I wasn't, they were also able to be there for me in a way that I can't even really describe.'

Monique recalled how Corbin and Sasha showed their support for her on, 'Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.'
The 41-year-old said, 'They sent a photo and a prayer and told me that they were thinking of me.'
'We were in quarantine in our respective rooms, but to be able to talk to them about that and to bond with them in this really difficult time where I'm alone in a room by myself, but not to feel alone, was just so special.'

'This industry is very difficult'
The High School Musical alum explained, 'This industry is very difficult.'
'The rejection that we go through, the ups and downs, the one minute you're hot and everybody cares and the next minute nobody cares, that can really take a toll.'
'So to be with people that really can carry you on screen, but then also have respect and love for your personal wellbeing and mental health and emotional health, that is such a priceless experience.'

Monique, who's married to Walter Jordan, previously opened up about her miscarriage on Instagram in October 2019.
She shared a performance piece titled UNBORN, 'I decided to use the language of dance to say what I couldn’t with words.'
