Millie Bobby Brown's upsetting fan encounter
Millie Bobby Brown broke down in tears in a video on Instagram Stories after she got into a row with a fan while out shopping.
The 16-year-old shared the video because she wants people to remember celebrities are humans too.
Millie explained it happened while she was out Christmas shopping with her mother.
A girl recognised her as the celebrity she is, and asked if she could take a video of her.
When Millie refused her request, the girl became frustrated.
Millie couldn't understand why she would want a video of Millie alone, and not the two of them together.
She added, "I don't need to justify it to anyone; if I don't want to be taken a video of, I don't have to be."
The girl went against Millie's wishes, and started filming her anyway.
Millie continued her story, "I said, "I'm a human being, like, what more can I ask from you?""
"She said, "So I can't take a video of a human being?""
"And I said, "No, not when I said no.""
"It just makes me upset when people try to push the boundary, and I just wish people were more respectful."
The 16-year-old admitted she's still trying to navigate life in the limelight.
Millie added, "And it's still overwhelming."
"I will take a picture with you but when you push the boundary and you try and fight me on it, where are my rights to say no?"
"I'm making this video to say, you have to show more respect for others."
"No matter who they are, what they do, show respect - it's just manners."
In a statement after posting the video, Millie assured fans she's okay.
She said she was just, 'emotional in the moment,' because she felt, 'uncomfortable and disrespected.'
