The actress faced backlash from social media users who immediately noticed she was faking it.
Millie's since posted an explanation for the video online.
The 15-year-old only recently launched her vegan skincare line Florence by Mills.
Shortly after its launch, she shared her nighttime skincare routine in a video posted online.

However, it wasn't long before eagle eyed fans noticed she wasn't actually putting the products on her face.
And what's even more confusing is that at the end of the two clip, she still had a face full of makeup.

The video shows the actress using the 'Get That Grime Face Scrub' to wash her face.
She explains, "I'm really excited to use it because I do still feel some of the makeup on and I know that this will fix it."
"This is honestly just to prevent me from getting a pimple tomorrow."
"I don't usually wear makeup if I'm not working, but today I'm working, so you've got to look somewhat presentable."

Millie admits she faked using the wash
The actress shared a statement on social media explaining the video.
'I'm still learning the best way to share my routines as I get to know this space better - I'm not an expert.'
She goes on, 'I thought doing a quick video replicating my personal process for that night was okay...'
'But that's not what was conveyed. I understand, I appreciate all of your feedback on this journey...'
