Meghan Markle befriended an online super fan and changed her life forever.
Meghan Markle was well known for responding to fans on social media before Royal life.
One fan she interacted with often was Emily Sorrells from Tampa Florida.
They began interacting on social media in 2011 and even met up once in 2016.

They also sent handwritten letters to each other with Meghan calling Emily 'delightful' and 'inspiring'.
Emily opens up about the whole experience on her blog.
She explains she was a 'walking mound of self-doubt and anxiety' before she met Meghan.
Markle, 'taught [her] the meaning of confidence and gave [her] a new definition of value for [herself].'

They finally met in person when Emily attended her live interview with AOL HQ in New York.
Meghan recognised her immediately and knew she would be coming to the interview.
'I only know her through twitter... She's going on a trip soon to Costa Rica to do some aid work because she said that my UN stuff inspired her.'

In her blog she praises the Duchess of Sussex for going 'out of her way to make [Emily] feel more special than [she] ever thought [she] could deserve.'
