Megan Barton Hanson Will 'Never Date A Person In The Public Eye Again'

Megan Barton Hanson has made a deal with herself to never again date someone in the public eye.

Megan Barton Hanson announced her split from her Love Island ex boyfriend Wes Nelson last week.

She's been very vocal about the fact that she still loves him but she admits he's wrapped up in 'the fame bubble.'

Megan vows to 'never again date a person in the public eye.'

She reveals what she wants for her future relationships in an interview with Grazia Magazine.

'Break-ups in the public eye are horrible, it seems like there’s always one person who tries to vilify the other.'

'It all ended very amicably. I really love Wes as a person, but we realised we are in very different stages of our lives and our priorities are different.'

'I’m 24 and by the time I’m 30 I want to be engaged. Wes is only 20. He’s living his best life.'

Despite the amicable breakup, she can't help but feel disappointed that it didn't work out.

'I really thought he was The One and that we’d be together forever... So, it’s heartbreaking for me that it didn't work out.'

She goes on to reveal her worries on whether she'll ever find the right person.

'I do worry about finding the right person. I don’t want people to approach me because I'm "Megan from Love Island."'

She continues, 'I just want someone who is nice, normal and grounded.'

The Breakup

Megan and Wes met in the Love Island villa last Summer.

The relationship started to fall apart when Wes started performing on Dancing On Ice with dance partner Vanessa Bauer.

'The fact that the producers deliberately stirred things up by partnering Wes with the youngest, hottest girl annoyed me.'
