Lewis Capaldi reacts to Paige Turley on Love Island
Lewis Capaldi's ex girlfriend Paige Turley stars in the winter series of Love Island.
In a new interview, the singer reacts to the news for the first time since it was announced last week.
"It would've been a nice heads up."
Lewis tells The Edge's Dom and Meg, "I've known her for years."
"We were 18 when we first met, then 19 when we started going out, 20 when we finished going out."
When asked who called it off, he responds, "It was very amicable, the split."
He admits he had no idea she was going on Love Island, "But she never told me she was going on it."
"It would've been a nice heads up."
Lewis however, remains supportive of his friend, "But I mean, fair play, good luck to her."

When asked if he'll be watching the show, he remarks, "I'll be fu**ing watching it, yeah!"
"I'll be watching it going 'Go on Paige! C'mon!' And when she's on a date with a boy, I'll go, 'Go on, kiss him!' I hope she wins."
Lewis jokes that he's the reason she's on the show in the first place.
"The prize is like 50 grand. And I'll be like, 'Well, listen, do you think, they asked you to go on it - now I'm not saying I'm the reason - but also, slide me 2 grand.'"
