Lady Gaga's dog walker speaks out

Lady Gaga's dog walker, Ryan Fischer has broken his silence following last week's incident.

He was walking the singer's three dogs when he was shot on a street in Hollywood.

Two of her dogs were stolen, but later returned by a lady who found them tied to a pole in an alley.

Fischer took to Instagram with a picture of himself in hospital.

In the caption, he remembered how the, 'blood poured from [his] gun shot wound.'

Referring to Gaga's dog Asia, he said, 'an angel trotted over and laid next to me.'

He said she calmed his panicked screams, 'even though it registered that the blood pooling around her tiny body was my own.'

'I cradled Asia as best I could, thanked her for all the incredible adventures we’d been on together, apologized that I couldn’t defend her brothers, and then resolved that I would still try to save them… and myself.'

Asia was his, 'guardian angel'

Fischer continued, 'Hopeful that my calm(ish) and forceful pleas for the urgency of my care as well as the focused descriptions of the dogs would be enough to help me and get enough police and media attention to find the boys, I looked backed at my guardian angel.'

'I smiled at her shaking form, thankful that at least she would be okay.'

'From that point, right as the neighbors poured from their homes and restaurant to us on the sidewalk, life has taken a very sudden and unexpected turn.'

He continued in another post, 'I am still in recovery from a very close call with death and have kept myself (for the most part, I mean I am human) from the growing media story.'

Fischer promised to write more later, but said he just wanted to show his gratitude for all the love and support he's received.

He went on to express his delight at the news that Gaga's two dogs Koji and Gustav are safe and have been returned home.

'I know [the police] are committed to bringing these criminals and attempted murderers to justice,' he added.

His family & friends

'And my mom and brother flew out here to be with me.... I love you both with all my heart.'

Fischer thanked the first responders and health care workers for saving his life.

And finally, he addressed Gaga, who has shown him and his family, 'so much support.'

'But your support as a friend, despite your own traumatic loss from your kids, was unwavering. I love you and thank you.'

He finished by saying, 'a lot of healing needs to happen.'

But he's looking forward to the day that he's reunited with Gaga's dogs Asia, Koji, and Gustav.

'when I get bombarded with kisses and licks (and maybe even an excitement pee?)…' He wrote.
