Lady Gaga's dog walker shares a recovery update
Lady Gaga's dog walker, Ryan Fisher has opened up about his recovery after he was shot walking her dogs last month.
The shooting happened during the dognapping incident where two of the singer's French Bulldogs were stolen on the street.
Ryan ended up back in hospital for more treatment after being discharged only a few weeks ago.
He took to Instagram to update his growing following saying, "recovery isn't a straight line."
NME reports that Ryan had part of his lung removed after the shooting.
"It became quite clear that my lung was not healing, and the bullet wound had scarred my tissue."
His recovery is ongoing as surgeons were forced to remove portions of his lung.
Ryan however has come to terms with the fact that it's going to take time for him to get better.
Saying, ‘I finally accepted my recovery had become anything but a straight line.’
The Attack
Ryan was walking Gaga's three dogs when he was shot on a street in Hollywood.
Two of the dogs were stolen but later returned when a woman found them tied to a pole in an alley.
Ryan’s family previously thanked Gaga for her support, in a statement earlier this month.
“We also want to thank Lady Gaga who has shown nothing but non-stop love and concern for Ryan and our family right from the outset."
The family also thanked paramedics and all the health staff who worked tirelessly to care for their Ryan.
The police investigation into Lady Gaga's dognapping and Ryan's attack is still ongoing as the suspect has yet to be arrested.
