Demi Lovato isn't holding back

An L.A. based frozen yogurt store have responded after Demi Lovato slammed them on social media.

Taking to Instagram Stories, she branded them, 'diet culture vultures,' for selling too many diet foods.

Demi took to Instagram Stories on Saturday to complain about the store.

She told her 102 million followers, 'Finding it extremely hard to order froyo from [The Bigg Chill] when you have to walk past tons of sugar-free cookies/other diet foods before you get to the counter.'

'Do better please,' she concluded alongside the hashtag, 'DietCultureVultures.'

The Bigg Chill responds

It wasn't long before the establishment took to their own Instagram Stories to address the issue.

They wrote, 'we carry items for Diabetics, Celiac disease, Vegan and of course have many indulgent items as well.'

The store also responded privately to Demi, who shared a screenshot of the exchange on Instagram Stories.

In their response, they insisted, 'We are not diet vultures.'

'We cater to all of our customers needs for the past 36 years.'

'We are sorry you found this offensive,' they concluded.

Demi's response

Clearly unimpressed by their response, the Sorry Not Sorry singer replied, 'Not just that. Your service was terrible. So rude.'

'The whole experience was triggering and awful.'

She advised them, 'You can carry things for other people while also carrying for another percentage of your customers who struggle DAILY just to even step foot in your store.'

'You can find a way to provide an environment for all people with different needs.'

'Including eating disorders – one of the deadliest mental illness only second to [opioid] overdoses.'

'Don’t make excuses, just do better.'

'I was thinking...'

Over an hour later, Demi sent another message to the company, and once again shared a screenshot online.

She said, 'I was thinking, maybe it would help if you made it more clear that the sugar free options and vegan options are for that.'

'Labeling the snacks for celiac or diabetes or vegans.'

'When it’s not super clear, the messaging gets confusing and being in LA it’s really hard to distinguish diet culture vs health needs.'

'I think clear messaging would be more beneficial for everyone.'

'You aren't wrong for catering to many different needs but it’s not about excluding one demographic to cater to others.'

Demi captioned her screenshot, 'Keeping this transparent even tho I'm done.'

Demi's struggle with an eating disorder

The pop sensation has spoken openly about her own struggles in the past.

On her Dancing with the Devil YouTube docuseries, she went into detail on her struggle with an eating disorder.

Her best friend Matthew Scott Montgomery said it was so bad that they had to be very careful about what they ate around her.
