Kim Kardashian & her family catch COVID-19
On the latest episode of KUWTK, we learned Kim Kardashian and her children North and Saint caught COVID-19 last year.
Many speculated the family contracted the virus following that controversial private island birthday trip in October.
Kim has since released a statement on Twitter branding these claims, 'false.'
On the latest episode, Kim revealed someone at her child's school tested positive for the virus.
"I'm trying to not freak anyone out but now I have to figure out what we're gonna do, especially with the three other kids."
Kim shares four children with her ex Kanye West: North, Saint, Psalm and Chicago.
Kim slams speculation
After the episode aired, many questioned if Kim's birthday trip was the real reason her family caught COVID.
When BuzzFeed reported on the speculation, Kim replied, 'False. Nobody caught Covid from the trip.'
She continued, 'Saint was the first to have it in our family and he caught it from school from another student who tested positive first.'
'I then developed symptoms and got it a few days after he coughed on me while caring for him.'

The private island trip
In case you've somehow forgotten, Kim faced backlash in October after she boasted about her birthday getaway online.
She revealed she flew her family and friends to a private island for her 40th birthday amid the pandemic.
Kim wrote, 'After 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine, I surprised my closest inner circle with a trip to a private island where we could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time.'
'We danced, rode bikes, swam near whales, kayaked, watched a movie on the beach and so much more.'
She continued, 'I realize that for most people, this is something that is so far out of reach right now, so in moments like these, I am humbly reminded of how privileged my life is. #thisis40'
Many branded her comments, 'tone deaf and insensitive.'
40 and feeling so humbled and blessed. There is not a single day that I take for granted, especially during these times when we are all reminded of the things that truly matter. pic.twitter.com/p98SN0RDZD

Before COVID, I don’t think any of us truly appreciated what a simple luxury it was to be able to travel and be together with family and friends in a safe environment. pic.twitter.com/lhzLIdutlZ
