Kim Kardashian being sued by 7 former employees
Kim Kardashian has been hit with a lawsuit by seven of her former employees, according to TMZ.
They claim their wages weren't properly paid, they weren't given meal breaks, and they weren't adequately reimbursed for expenses.
According to documents obtained by the outlet, those suing are former maintenance and cleaning crew.
They worked at her Hidden Hills property, where they alleged they were treated unfairly.
They claim they weren't given pay stubs, and weren't paid on a regular schedule.
The workers also allege they were not given meal breaks, and were not properly reimbursed for expenses.
They claim they weren't given a system to record their hours, and as a result, their wages weren't paid properly.
Kim's stance
However, Kim believes this is an issue that should be taken up with the third party vendor she hired to provide the services.
A spokesperson for the reality star told Page Six that these workers, 'were hired and paid through,' the vendor.
'Kim is not party to the agreement made between the vendor and their workers, therefore she is not responsible for how the vendor manages their business and the agreements they have made directly with their staff.'
'Kim has never not paid a vendor for their services and hopes that the issue between these workers and the vendor who hired them can be amicably resolved soon.'
A source close to Kim insisted the budding lawyer takes, 'a lot of pride in paying people on time for their work.'
They say she, 'does not have a history of not paying her bills on time - never has and never will.'
