Keira Knightley on her daughter and fairytales
Keira Knightley has decided to allow her daughter watch fairytales.
It's after she previously announced she had banned the likes of Cinderella and The Little Mermaid.
She believes they don't send the correct message to children.
Keira made headlines in 2018 when she discussed her view on fairytales during a chat on The Ellen Show.
She revealed there are certain children's movies that she has banned her daughter from watching.
"Cinderella - banned. Because you know, she waits around for a rich guy to rescue her. Don't. Rescue yourself, obviously."
Keira went on, "The Little Mermaid."
"I mean the songs are great but do not give your voice up for a man, hello?!"
The actress went on to reveal her daughter is however, allowed to watch Dory.
It's been a little over a year since she made those comments and it seems Keira's had a change of heart.
She revealed in an interview with Porter over the weekend that her daughter has since, 'watched them all.'
She said, 'When we watched Sleeping Beauty, she said, ‘It’s not OK that man kissed her without her permission!’'
'I can’t tell you how pleased I was. If I don’t do anything else, I’ve managed to drum that in!'
Keira's been promoting her new movie Misbehaviour which is out this Friday.
