Kanye West's former music associate sued
It's been reported that Kanye West's former friend and music associate is being sued.
Malik Yusef allegedly forged Kanye's signature and scammed fashion brand Gentle Monster.
The rapper however, had no idea this was going on.
According to TMZ, the fashion brand claim Yusef promised Kanye would create a video for them himself.
It's believed a meeting was even arranged between a representative and the Gold Digger artist.
The scam also included forged signatures from West and fake invoices from so-called talent agencies.
Malik even allegedly claimed Pharrell, Jaden Smith and others would get involved.
It wasn't until Yusef sent them the video in February this year that they became suspicious.
The final product didn't exactly resemble what they had asked for.
They pulled the video when Kanye's other half Kim Kardashian tweeted that her husband had nothing to do with it.

The publication reports this isn't the first time Yusef has used Kanye's signature.
He allegedly forged West's signature for a deal to perform at Philipp Plein's NYFW show.
The performance never happened and Yusef made loads money which he later returned.
