Joey King on filming The Kissing Booth 2 with Jacob Elordi
Star of The Kissing Booth, Joey King has dished on what it was like playing opposite her ex in the sequel.
Joey and Jacob play onscreen boyfriend and girlfriend Elle Evans and Noah Flynn in the movies.
The former flames started dating after they met on set of the original Netflix film.
However, they called it quits before filming on the sequel commenced.
During a chat with Cosmopolitan, Joey was asked what it's like acting opposite someone she now must feel somewhat guarded around.
The actress replied, 'No one’s thinking to themselves, 'that was easy,' because it wasn’t.'
'I’m sure people will analyse every movement and every detail. And you know what? Let them.'
Joey continued, 'But at the end of the day, I was just thrilled to be Elle Evans again.'
When asked what it was like working with Jacob every single day, she said, 'There’s so much I want to say.'
Cosmopolitan said Joey paused and laughed at this point in the interview.
She struggled to put into words what she wanted to say, 'What’s the most, um, correct way to go about this?'
'Elle Evans needs her Noah Flynn, and whatever that means for my personal life, I’ll do anything to make sure the story of my character who I care about so much is complete.'
Meanwhile, Joey recently called Jacob out on Twitter for saying he hasn't actually watched The Kissing Booth 2.
