JK's latest tweet has sparked a debate on Twitter, and has brought back some bitter memories for Harry Potter fans.
Today marks the 19th anniversary of the Battle of Hogwarts (May 2nd 1998) and she's apologised for killing off Professor Snape.
OK, here it is. Please don't start flame wars over it, but this year I'd like to apologise for killing (whispers)... Snape. *runs for cover*

She has apologised previously for killing off other popular characters Fred Weasley and Remus Lupin.
This tweet has ruffled a few feathers, with many people still not over the fact that she killed off so many characters.
