And it's finally happened at 50 Janet Jackson has welcomed her first child son Eissa Al Mana with husband Wissam Al Mana to the world.
Janet's representative told People magazine 'Janet Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana are thrilled to welcome their new son Eissa Al Mana into the world. Janet had a stress-free healthy delivery and is resting comfortably' .
Janet kept out of the spotlight during her pregnancy which she announced last October but had reportedly been plagued with bad morning sickness.
She shared at the time: 'Hey you guys.. It's been awhile.. but I'm still listening.. I feel your love and prayers.. Thank you.. and I'm doing well.'
