It's all over for J.Lo & Alex Rodriguez
J.Lo and Alex Rodriguez have called off their engagement.
The former flames announced the news in a joint statement to Today.
They said, 'We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so.'
'We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects.'
'We wish the best for each other and one another’s children.'
They concluded the statement by thanking their fans for all the love and support.
'Out of respect for them, the only other comment we have to say is thank you to everyone who has sent kind words and support.'
The announcement follows reports the pair had split last month.
However, they were quick to shut down those rumours.
In a joint statement at the time, they said, 'All the reports are inaccurate. We are working through some things.'
A source told Today that the couple had, 'hit a rough patch that made them think about what they should do.'

The pair started dating four years ago, and have gushed over each other on numerous occasions.
In 2017, she opened up to Ellen about the moment they met.
She explained she was having lunch somewhere when she noticed him walk by.
The Hollywood star followed him outside, tapped him on the shoulder and said hello.
In 2019, he popped the question and he told Jimmy Fallon all about the special moment.
He said he got down on one knee on a beach in the Bahamas.
"I rehearsed three days in a row, because I wanted the sunset to be perfect."
"I had my assistant Ashley with me," he revealed.
