Yep, you heard us, Former X-Factor contestant Mary Byrne is a regular Jessica Fletcher.

The 59-year-old singer from Dublin’s Ballyfermot has taken up writing to keep her life interesting.
While speaking to TV Now she revealed that while pub gigs and the occasional concert are her current bread and butter, she has begun dabbling in some writing to keep her life more interesting.
Byrne said she's excited to fulfil her dream to write a book saying:
I can see it in Hollywood. I can see it on the screen. For God sake! There’s nobody under me patio, definitely not. Believe you me, it’s not as easy as it comes across to write a book. The ending has changed five times.
Mary Byrne appeared on the X-Factor eight years ago, back in 2010.
