A Michael Jackson superfan is desperately trying to reverse his name change in the wake of Leaving Neverland.
John Lomas changed his name to John Michael Jackson a number of years ago.
Speaking to The Mirror he said, 'I had various obsessions and special interests growing up and one of those has been Michael Jackson.'
'A few years ago I went to LA and soon after that I changed my name to Michael Jackson legally'
'I have supported him blindly for years but it has come to a point with everything recently that I've thought, 'no more'.'
'There is too much doubt and I'm now left with this name that I need to get rid of.'
John believes he's spent around £1 million on Michael Jackson 'souvenirs, trips, albums and other memorabilia.'
It will now cost him a further £120 to reinstate his original name.
'I've asked for legal advice and there is nothing I can do to change my name back by deed poll without paying a £120 fee, which I can't afford.'
'I just want to put this behind me, I can't have this name hanging above me anymore, I just want a fresh start.'
This isn't John's first name change
John was born Ben Andreas Lomas.
Following an obsession with the Beatles he swapped his title for John Lennon, before moving on to John Michael Jackson.
John has Asperger syndrome and it's believed this is why he has, 'special interests in certain things.'
