Dominic Fike blew his Euphoria audition
The following article contains details of drug use which some readers may find upsetting
He plays Elliot in season two of Euphoria, but Dominic Fike almost lost out on a role altogether.
In a new interview with GQ Magazine, the 26-year-old told the bizarre story of how he managed to bag a part in the series.
It turns out Dominic actually auditioned for a part in season one of Euphoria, but completely blew his audition.
He made it through several rounds of callbacks and was finally invited for a chemistry read with Barbie Ferreira in front of creator Sam Levinson.
In order to get into character, the musician decided to take shrooms.

'I started peaking right when me and Barbie were reading,' he told the outlet.
Dominic recalled the letters dancing around the script in front of him.
But the moment he really blew it was when Sam Levinson suddenly appeared in a dress.
'I looked at him and I was like, 'Are you wearing a dress right now?' It was crazy.'
'I started making fun of everybody in the room.'
His agent later called to tell him he hadn't landed the part, 'They were like, What. The. F**k.'

Dominic knew he was perfect for the show because he could relate to the characters' struggles.
At the time, he was drinking too much, taking drugs and partying all the time.
'I was really turning it up,' he admitted.
In Spring 2020, he was admitted into rehab.
When Euphoria casting directors heard this, they reached out and offered him another chance.
It wasn't long before he landed the role of Elliot in season two.
