The scholarship will be honoured to one deserving student every year.

They're hoping to raise $100k to put towards a sustainable scholarship for years to come.

According to Mayfield, they've already received contributions from a bunch of people.

Which is amazing, considering they haven't even started properly announcing it yet.

TMZ report the school want to work with Boseman's family on the scholarship plan.

In addition to all this, Boseman's former high school basketball coach is campaigning for the Marvel star's number - 32 - be retired.

The coach told TMZ that the Black Panther star played for four years on the varsity squad.

The school have never retired a number before, but principal Mayfield believes now is the time to consider it.
